Raffi Tashdjian
As a licensed architect in both British Columbia (AIBC) and Ontario (OAA), I am an active member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. My architectural career in Canada began with an internship at Paul Marques Architect Inc., where I gained foundational experience in the industry. In 2021, I joined NGA Architects Inc., where I further honed my skills across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, institutional, residential, and correctional facilities. Building on this experience, I founded RT Architects Inc., a firm that provides comprehensive architectural services throughout Ontario.
I continually enhance my professional expertise through ongoing education, including courses in the Fundamentals of Operating an Architectural Practice, Ontario Building Code (OBC), and LEED Green Building standards. My academic background includes a Master's degree in architecture from the National University of Architecture & Construction of Armenia, which underpins my practical experience with a strong theoretical foundation. As a mentor, I can offer advice on the following:
✅ Architect licensing pathways, and provincial requirements
✅ CACB academic certification success strategies
✅ The Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect (BEFA) Program option, and interview preparation
✅ Optimizing internship hours to meet the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) requirements
✅ Licensing exam preparation and resources
✅ Architect career options and job search
✅ Architect portfolio and resume preparation
