Asma Senouci
In 2012, I earned my PhD in Pharmacy in Algeria, marking the start of my dedicated career. Moving to Canada in 2013, I embraced the challenge of obtaining my pharmacist’s license in Quebec, driven by a commitment to comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
I achieved recognition from the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ) and completed essential coursework through the Université de Montréal's sole equivalency program (QeP). Alongside this, I gained hands-on experience as a pharmacy technician and earned a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in pharmacy assistance, along with a certificate in Natural Health Products (NHP) Expertise.
These efforts led to my admission to UdeM’s QeP program, where I further developed my expertise in pharmacology and patient care, culminating in my licensure as a Quebec pharmacist in 2017.
My career in community pharmacy has provided extensive experience in medication management, patient consultation, and inter-professional collaboration, enhanced by roles as a clinical associate, counseling pharmacist, hospital pharmacist, and pharmacy tutor. With certifications in pharmacy supervision and mentorship (GMF), I am well-equipped to mentor aspiring pharmacists, guiding them through the licensing process to excel in their careers.
As a mentor, I can offer advice on the following:
✅ Pharmacy licensing pathways in Canada
✅ Pharmacist assistant jobs, and experience hour accumulation
✅ The Qualification Equivalency Program (QeP)
✅ MCQ and OSCE preparation and resources
✅ License transfer from other provinces
