Natasha Premji, MD
Dr. Natasha Premji is a distinguished family medicine resident at the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in emergency medicine. A Toronto native, she earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (Bahrain) in 2019, where she excelled academically and gained international medical experience. Currently, she is the lead resident at her residency site and serves as Chair of all lead residents within the family medicine program at USask, demonstrating her strong leadership and commitment to improving medical training.
Dr. Premji is also the International Medical Graduate (IMG) Team Lead for the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada, where she advocates tirelessly for IMGs and rural healthcare. Her dedication to improving access to quality care in underserved areas has made her a vital voice in rural medicine.
Beyond her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Premji is passionate about mentoring the next generation of physicians. She has helped many aspiring doctors navigate the complexities of medical training, offering guidance and support that fosters both personal and professional growth.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Marvel, while balancing her hobbies of reading, gardening, and travel. Dr. Premji's well-rounded approach to life and medicine sets her apart as an exceptional leader and role model.
